Jon Taubman is a guitarist, educator and music publishing professional based in Reading, MA. Jon has performed as a lead guitarist in many bands over the years crossing multiple genres including; pop/rock, soul and r&b, progressive rock, Brazilian pop, singer songwriter, blues, and jazz. Jon has a degree in Music Composition and Jazz Studies from the University of Wisconsin and has studied music with world class musicians including; Tommy Emmanuel, Rob Ickes, Trey Hensley, John Knowles, and JD Simo.

Jon’s teaching style is relaxed yet methodical, passionate, and at times, spontaneous. By meeting the student at their level and breaking down individual challenges in to small digestible pieces, students will reach their goals quickly and stay motivated to further their musical journey. Jon has mentored dozens of aspiring musicians from his home studio in Reading, MA, and has taught youth and teen rock band, and adult group guitar classes at Accel School of Music in Peabody, MA. Jon currently teaches at Reading School of Guitar.
